ZACOE Performance’s Carbon Fiber Body Kit for the McLaren 12C and 650S combines cutting-edge design with unmatched craftsmanship to elevate both aesthetics and performance. Available in two distinct versions — an OEM-style replacement kit for a refined, seamless upgrade or the ZACOE performance body kit for a bold, aggressive transformation — each kit is meticulously crafted from premium carbon fiber. These kits not only enhance the vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency but also add a sleek, race-inspired look that perfectly complements the McLaren’s iconic design.

3D Scanning

Upon finalizing the model and concept, ZACOE Performance acquires an OEM car and performs 3D scanning to create an exceptionally accurate digital model. Using a specialized scanner, the car’s exterior shape and dimensions are captured in detail. This digital model serves as the cornerstone of the design process, where precision is critical to ensure compatibility with advanced inner mechanisms and bolt-on fitment. The scanning process typically takes more than 40 hours per car.

Digital Design & Testing

Once the digital model is complete, ZACOE Performance designers gather for brainstorming sessions, beginning with hand-drawn sketches to outline initial concepts. These sketches are transformed into computer-aided design (CAD) software, where the designers bring their bold ideas to life digitally. After the draft design is finished, basic aerodynamic testing is performed using specialized software. Cutting-edge technology enables ZACOE Performance to deliver unmatched sophistication, exceptional quality, and innovative designs.

Prototyping

With the digital model designed and tested, ZACOE Performance creates a physical prototype of the kit using ABS materials. Specialized equipment, such as 3D printers and CNC machines, is used to produce each component. The prototype is assembled and fitted to the car to ensure it meets the desired performance and fitment standards.

Mold-making

After testing the prototype and making any necessary adjustments, ZACOE Performance moves to the final stage: creating molds for the carbon fiber kit. The prototype is used to craft molds for each component, which will then be used in the production of the final product. This process combines skilled manual craftsmanship with advanced machinery, requiring a high degree of precision. The result is a lightweight, sleek carbon fiber kit that elevates both the car’s aesthetics and performance.

Volcano Conversion Kit

The McLaren 650S Volcano Conversion Kit Fi Exhaust (Frequency Intelligent Exhaust) is a premium valvetronic exhaust system made from high-grade T304 stainless steel, designed as a direct bolt-on replacement. This high-performance system enhances torque and delivers an exhilarating exhaust note, with an estimated horsepower increase of 5-10% in a full race setup featuring a valvetronic catback and ultra-high-flow downpipe. When the valves are closed, exhaust gases pass through the muffler for a quiet, refined driving experience, while fully open valves unleash a bold, sporty soundtrack. Switching between street and race modes depends on your McLaren’s model and configuration, utilizing the factory exhaust / sport button or drive modes. Engineered with uniquely designed muffler internals, this exhaust system provides a superior driving experience. Each conversion kit includes the components listed below.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less.
