Sound

• Leveraging over 25 years of expertise in both air-cooled and watercooled systems, Fabspeed Motorsport has effectively transformed the 992 GT3’s exhaust tone into an incredible symphony of power. Through the incorporation of high-flowing headers paired with their HJS German premium 200 cell cats, the GT3 now boasts an aggressive CUP car-style exhaust note, characterized by a raw and intense sound. This upgrade enhances the definition of higher-frequency tones and elevates the strength and clarity of deceleration burbles. When fitted with competition pipes, the GT3 evolves into a track-exclusive, motorsport-bred beast that exudes a race-inspired aggressiveness without overwhelming volume. Remarkably, even with the stock muffler retained, there is no drone, ensuring a harmonious blend of clean, green, and potent power.

Power

• After extensive dyno development, Fabspeed discovered the optimal header length and diameter. With no tune, when compared to a stock car, they achieved an increase of +19hp and 16whp (whp+ horsepower to the wheels) with the sport cats, along with a boost of 20ft/lbs. When competition pipes were installed, the gains were even more significant, with +23hp and 19whp, as well as 26 ft/lbs of torque. These improvements translated to a gain of 19hp and 23hp, respectively, at the crank. Additionally, the peak horsepower values rose from a baseline of 452whp to 461whp with the installation of HJS sport cats and 468whp with competition pipes. The dyno graph provided above offers more detailed information. It is evident that EMITEC HJS German tri-metallic catalytic converters play a crucial role in delivering clean and environmentally friendly power.
