The Nitron 993 RoadSport Coilover Kit is aimed at the owner who actually drives their 993 and has noticed the factory dampers stopped doing their job a long time ago. After a quarter century of use the originals have lost most of their control, so the body floats over crests, wallows through transitions, and dives harder under braking than Porsche ever intended. The usual fix is a track-oriented coilover, but that swaps one problem for another on a car that’s more at home on a long road trip than a race circuit, since the 993 was always the 911 that balanced ride quality against feel better than the generations on either side of it. Nitron’s RoadSport kit is built to restore that balance rather than overwrite it. It brings back damper control and adds ride height adjustment, but keeps the factory top mounts in place and stays on the road-oriented end of Nitron’s range. The 993 was also the first 911 to move away from rear torsion bars to a multi-link rear axle with coil springs, and Nitron’s 993 RoadSport Coilover Kit follows that OEM rear suspension rather than reworking it, so the multi-link geometry, mounting points, and alignment relationship are left as Porsche engineered them. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
