Does it keep the PSE button working?

Yes, completely. This is the valved system, so the factory Sport Exhaust button still switches the car between a quiet setting and a loud one. That is the main reason to choose it over Fabspeed's Supercup systems for this chassis, which are non-valved and leave the car on one fixed note.

How loud is it in each mode?

With PSE closed it is only modestly louder than the factory exhaust, quiet enough to leave your own street early without annoying anyone. With PSE open it becomes an aggressive, race-bred snarl close to a 911 CUP car. The investment cast X-pipe is what gives it the high-pitched edge rather than a deeper crossover tone.

How much power does it add?

DynoJet testing showed 14 whp and 17 ft-lbs of torque at 4200 rpm, which is 17.5 hp at the crank. The gains come from increasing pipe diameter from 2.5 to 2.75 inches and replacing the factory h-pipe with the cast X-pipe. It also saves 5 lbs against the factory system.

Why 70mm rather than 3 inch?

Because Fabspeed built and tested a 3 inch X-pipe and it was worse. That design lost 10 hp and 15 ft-lbs against the 70mm version. On a naturally aspirated 4.0L, oversizing the pipe costs exhaust gas velocity through the midrange without returning anything at the top, so the smaller diameter is the faster one.

What is the GPF configuration about?

Some cars, mainly European market, are built with a gasoline particulate filter, and the system is made in two versions to suit. Choose the configuration matching your car at checkout. The Valvetronic Nordschleife Cat-Back is the system for the owner who wants the 992 GT3 to sound like a CUP car when they ask for it and behave like a Porsche when they do not. Everything else Fabspeed builds for this chassis at this level asks you to give up the PSE button. This one keeps it, completely, with aerospace quality exhaust valves from Helical Limited in the UK, the supplier Ferrari, McLaren, Pagani, Koenigsegg and Porsche all use. The rest is Fabspeed’s signature investment cast 70mm X-pipe in place of the factory h-pipe, pipe diameter up from 2.5 to 2.75 inches, and five pounds gone. Development started with a Creaform 700 Handscan mapping the factory exhaust and the underside of the engine in 3D, which is why it fits like it was always meant to be there.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
