Will the Center Pipe make the car much louder?

Supersprint’s Center Pipe for G20 / G21 BMW 3 Series is the straight-through answer for the middle of the four-cylinder car, a plain stainless pipe where the Center Exhaust carries a muffler. On a 330i it lets the B48 speak with more of its own voice, and it saves weight in the process. Supersprint lists it as the direct alternative to the Center Exhaust, with the same front pipes and rears on the 320i and 330i sedan and Touring and on the four-cylinder 4 Series. It is the right call for a car used on back roads and track days; for a commuter that spends hours at a steady cruise, the silenced section is kinder.

Supersprint has built exhaust systems in Mantova, Italy since 1955, designing and manufacturing in house rather than assembling bought-in parts. Piping is AISI 304 stainless at a nominal 1.5mm wall, mandrel bent and TIG or MIG welded to CNC machined stainless flanges 7mm to 12mm thick; AISI 310S and Inconel come out where thermal load is highest, and catalyst hardware comes from HJS. Every application is developed against a baseline measured on the AWD MAHA dynamometer in Mantova, which is why the catalogue is model specific rather than universal.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
