Is a rear wing part of the Ventus 2 Aero Package for A90?

No. The Ventus 2 Aero Package for A90 works without a wing and contains six parts: front splitter, side splitters, rear spats, dual element dive planes, rear diffuser and anti-buffeting wind deflectors. Verus Engineering adds its UCW rear wing to this set to create the Ventus 3 package.

How does Ventus 2 differ from Ventus 1?

Ventus 2 keeps the dive planes, rear diffuser and wind deflectors of Ventus 1 and adds the front splitter, side splitters and rear spats. Verus Engineering reports a substantial increase in downforce for a small drag penalty, and better lift-to-drag efficiency than both the factory Supra and Ventus 1.

How much downforce does the Ventus 2 kit produce?

Verus Engineering rates the complete package at 200 lb of downforce at 120 mph. Aerodynamic load grows with the square of speed, so it falls away at lower speeds and climbs on a fast circuit. Verus does not publish separate figures for each component in the kit.

Can I drive a Ventus 2 equipped Supra on the street?

Yes, with care on steep driveways. Verus Engineering kept the forward reach of its front splitter moderate so the Supra stays usable on the street, and carbon polyweave resists the cracking that carbon fiber and ABS splitters suffer on contact, which also suits side splitters running low along the sills.

Why do side splitters matter in corners?

In yaw, more high-pressure air spills from the sides toward the underbody, and that air creates lift. Verus Engineering gave its side splitters a horizontal member that limits the spillage, so the chassis carries less lift through a turn than with the factory parts alone, with the largest gain while turning.

Description

Verus Engineering Ventus 2 Aero Package for A90 Toyota GR Supra

Verus Engineering’s Ventus 2 Aero Package for A90 Toyota GR Supra adds a carbon polyweave front splitter, side splitters and rear spats to the Ventus 1 kit, building a forward-biased aero package that needs no rear wing. Verus rates it at 200 lb of downforce at 120 mph, with better lift-to-drag efficiency than the factory car or Ventus 1 for a small drag penalty. It suits a track-driven Supra whose owner wants serious front grip and a clean factory rear deck.

How the Package Works

The front splitter builds a large pressure difference between its faces, adding front downforce with little extra drag, and Verus says it greatly increases front grip alongside the dive planes. The side splitters flow with the factory side splitters, and a horizontal member keeps high-pressure air from spilling under the car, cutting lift most in yaw. The diffuser carries over to trim rear lift and drag, and both splitters are carbon polyweave, a carbon thermoplastic also raced in IndyCar, NASCAR and Formula 1.

Features

Substantial downforce gain over Ventus 1 for a small drag penalty
Forward aero bias without a rear wing
Side splitters cut chassis lift in corners
Impact-tolerant carbon polyweave splitters
Stainless hardware and 3M VHB tape supplied

Notes

No wing comes with the Ventus 2 Aero Package for A90; Verus reaches its Ventus 3 specification by adding the UCW Rear Wing Kit for A90 Toyota GR Supra, sold separately
Ventus 1 Aero Package owners reach this specification by adding the front splitter, side splitters and rear spats
The front splitter lowers front clearance, so take steep driveways slowly and at an angle
Each component has its own Verus install manual and video

About Verus Engineering

Verus Engineering designs aerodynamic and performance parts in Indianapolis, Indiana. Two engineers founded it in late 2014 as Velox Motorsports and renamed it in 2017 after a trademark dispute; verus is Latin for true or complete. Each design starts from a 3D scan of the car, is developed with CFD and finite element analysis and is validated on track, across more than 20 platforms from the GR86 to the C8 Corvette.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
