It is one side. The Upper Left Downpipe with Sport Cats fits the left turbo only, and the right side is sold under its own part number, 529321. Supersprint sells the Lower Downpipes below them as one right and left pair, part number 529331, so a full two-piece set is three part numbers.

Should I choose the upper and lower sections or the complete downpipe?

Supersprint’s Upper Left Downpipe with Sport Cats for G90 / G99 BMW M5 is the short turbo-side section of the two-piece downpipe route, carrying Sport Cats on a metallic substrate directly behind the left turbo of the S68 V8. The photograph shows the flex joint Supersprint builds into it below the Sport Cats. Below it sits the Supersprint Lower Downpipes pair, and the two-piece layout suits an owner who wants the Sport Cats in a short section right behind the turbo, or who plans to change the lower section later without touching the upper one. Where the aim is simply fewer parts, the complete one-piece left downpipe does the same job.

Supersprint has built exhaust systems in Mantova, Italy since 1955, designing and manufacturing in house rather than assembling bought-in parts. Piping is AISI 304 stainless at a nominal 1.5mm wall, mandrel bent and TIG or MIG welded to CNC machined stainless flanges 7mm to 12mm thick; AISI 310S and Inconel come out where thermal load is highest, and catalyst hardware comes from HJS. Every application is developed against a baseline measured on the AWD MAHA dynamometer in Mantova, which is why the catalogue is model specific rather than universal.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
