How the DFV System Works

Öhlins’ Dual Flow Valve (DFV) technology handles the transition between road and race damping with a single adjustment. Turning the gold knob clockwise engages race mode across all four damping zones at once: low-speed compression, high-speed compression, low-speed rebound, and high-speed rebound. Reverse it and the damper returns to a relaxed road setting. No tools, no separate adjustments per corner. On track, the DFV internals respond quickly to surface changes, keeping all four tires loaded through corners and composed under hard braking. The Golf R’s 4MOTION platform already puts power down effectively; this kit gives the chassis the damping support to make the most of that traction at the limit. Off track, the same system softens its response and filters road imperfections without the harshness that typically comes with a performance spring rate setup.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
