Racing a supercharged Exige S puts more load through its dampers than the naturally aspirated cars see. The S reaches braking zones faster and drives out of corners harder on boost, and in a long race heat builds up everywhere. The Nitron Exige S RacePro 3 kit is Nitron’s full competition coilover package for this car. Rebound, low-speed compression and high-speed compression each have their own adjuster at all four corners, so you can tune how the car puts its torque down without upsetting how it turns in or rides the curbs. The Nitron Exige S RacePro 3 runs a 46mm piston for precise control under heavy braking and aero loads. The inverted dampers keep unsprung weight low, and hose-mounted reservoirs at both ends carry the extra oil and gas volume a hot, high-speed race calls for. Mounting brackets are included, supplied for your car’s drive side.

Specialized Bi-Axis Hose Fittings

Fitting reservoir hoses to an Exige S is harder than on the naturally aspirated car. At the rear, the hoses have to clear the subframe and exhaust, plus the supercharger and its plumbing in an engine bay that gets very hot. At the front, they run around the wishbones, steering rack and radiator ducting. On the Nitron Exige S RacePro 3, Nitron’s Bi-Axis fittings let each hose swivel on two axes where it leaves the damper. You can point the hose along its intended route from the start, with no tight bends and no rubbing on moving parts through full travel and steering lock. Low-speed compression controls roll and pitch from the driver’s inputs, so it sets how sharply the front responds and how flat the platform stays mid-corner. High-speed compression takes care of fast, sharp hits from curbs and seams, and backing it off lets the wheels ride over them without the rest of the setup changing. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
