The Nitron elec-TRON R1 FastRoad Coilover Kit with Standalone Front Axle Lift for the Type 131 Lotus Emira V6 is the most complete version of the R1 FastRoad package. The foundation is four hand-built, inverted dampers with road-biased spring rates and sports valving engineered specifically around the Emira V6’s geometry, weight distribution, and suspension travel. The elec-TRON system adds a proprietary proportional solenoid valve to each shock, with the included DCU monitoring g-load, vehicle speed, road conditions, and driver inputs simultaneously and making independent damping adjustments at every corner every 5 milliseconds; 20 to 30 times faster than a human blink. The Standalone FAL handles the practical side, delivering 25mm of front axle lift in under 3 seconds so steep driveways, speed bumps, and parking ramps stop requiring a second thought. None of it affects the suspension tune or how the car behaves once you are back on road or circuit. Titanium and hard-anodised components resist corrosion, the kit ships with bearing spacers preset and ready to fit, and the whole thing is fully serviceable and upgradeable to ClubSport or custom specifications.

The elec-TRON R1 FastRoad for the Type 131 Lotus Emira V6 includes Nitron’s DCU as part of the kit. Each shock carries its own proprietary proportional solenoid valve, giving the DCU precise, independent damping control at every corner simultaneously. The system monitors g-load, vehicle speed, road conditions, and driver inputs all at once, making damping adjustments every 5 milliseconds. For reference, a human eye blink takes somewhere between 100 and 150 milliseconds. The suspension is reacting to what the road and the driver are doing in real time, not catching up after the fact.

Standalone Electronic Damping System

The Nitron DCU is included with the elec-TRON R1 FastRoad with Standalone FAL for the Type 131 Emira V6. It’s the brain behind the elec-TRON system, transforming a conventional passive damper setup into a precision semiactive platform. Working in conjunction with Nitron’s elec-TRON valve, the DCU continuously processes data from the car every 5 milliseconds; assessing vehicle attitude, braking forces, cornering loads, and acceleration inputs to determine the correct valve position and damping level at any given moment. The result is a suspension system that isn’t set to a fixed damping rate but is constantly optimizing grip and comfort in real time based on what the car is actually doing. The DCU is fitted with an adjustable control knob giving the driver access to a range of pre-installed damping maps; Rain, Tour, Sport, and Race; each tuned for a specific driving context. Damping continues to be adjusted continuously within whichever map is selected, so the driver sets the overall character and the system handles the rest.
