J’s Racing’s Tsuchinoko Chamber for Early CL7 Accord Euro R models came out of roughly a year of development and repeated trial and error, aimed at a dependable power gain from the K20A. The chamber and filter sit inside a heat shield cover shaped to use the cramped engine bay, so the engine breathes fresh air instead of hot underhood air. On one stock-engined car, J’s Racing ran the factory airbox, an aftermarket air cleaner and the chamber back to back, and the chamber’s torque gain stood out. It suits an early Euro R owner who wants measured intake gains; for looks alone it is overkill.

Design and Performance

A supplied duct mounts inside the front bumper and sends air through the fender, which a dedicated bulkhead plate turns into a large-volume intake box feeding ram air to a large-diameter filter. The bulkhead shape keeps rain from hitting the filter directly, and the system passed J’s Racing’s road tests in heavy rain.
