J’s Racing’s 1.5-Way LSD for EP3 Civic Type R is a mechanical limited slip differential that the Osaka tuner sells as its High Traction LSD. It senses the difference in speed and torque between the front wheels and limits the differential action, so drive that would otherwise escape through the unloaded wheel goes into the road. It locks hard on throttle and more gently off throttle, with a moderate effect left under braking that makes the car’s attitude easier to manage. It suits an EP3 that sees circuit or sports driving, where putting power down out of corners decides lap times.
