Fabspeed’s Race Headers for 997 Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 RS are the header system the company builds when road manners are no longer part of the brief. Fabspeed did not design it alone: the headers are developed with the racing engineers at Burns Stainless in Costa Mesa, California, a firm whose components have won championships in IndyCar, Formula Atlantic, ALMS, FIA-GT and Grand Am, and Porsche Motorsport engine builders were consulted alongside them. The tubing is T321 stainless steel, CNC mandrel bent on Fabspeed’s in-house Unison bender and hand TIG welded and back-purged by Fabspeed and Burns craftsmen with over 100 years of combined experience, then finished by hand on the inside where the flow actually happens. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
