What is included in the Performance Package for 997.2 GT3 and GT3 RS?

Six matched components: Sport Headers with 200-cell HJS Sport Cats, Center Mini Maxflo mufflers, Side Muffler Bypass Pipes, induction, Deluxe Dual Style tips and XperTune Performance Software. GT3 configurations receive the carbon fiber Competition Air Intake and GT3 RS configurations receive a BMC air filter, matched to how each car breathes from the factory.

Is this package street legal?

No. Fabspeed supplies it with 200-cell HJS Sport Cats that are not CARB certified and not EPA certified, and specifies the package for closed-course and off-road use. Emissions law varies by state and by county, so check your local rules before purchasing. The cat-back only Race Exhaust System is the alternative if road legality is the deciding factor.

Will it trigger a check engine light?

No. Fabspeed guarantees no check engine light with this package as supplied, which is the reason they specify German-imported HJS Sport Cats over cheaper units. At 200 cells the HJS units flow up to 93 to 95 percent of a straight pipe while still scrubbing enough for the factory monitors to stay satisfied.

Does the GT3 RS get the same package as the GT3?

Almost. The exhaust hardware, tips and software are identical across both, and the difference is induction: GT3 configurations include the carbon fiber Competition Air Intake, while GT3 RS configurations include a BMC air filter. Select the correct configuration for your car at checkout, since the two are not interchangeable.

Is it cheaper than buying the parts individually?

Yes. The package is priced below the sum of its six components bought separately, and it arrives as one order on one lead time. The larger benefit is that the parts were developed and dyno-tested together, so the XperTune calibration is written for this exact hardware rather than approximated across a mixed build.

Which Porsche models and years does it fit?

It fits the 2010-2011 Porsche 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS built on the 997.2 chassis with the 3.8L flat-six. Fabspeed assembles equivalent packages for the 997.1 GT3 and the 991 cars from those chassis' own components, so confirm the chassis code on the car before ordering.

Description

Fabspeed Performance Package for 997.2 Porsche 911 GT3 & GT3 RS

Fabspeed’s Performance Package for 997.2 Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 RS is what the individual parts have been building toward. Headers, Sport Cats, centre mufflers, side bypass pipes, induction, tips and calibration arrive as one order, engineered together and signed off on Fabspeed’s own dyno in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, where the package returns 44 wheel horsepower and 32 ft-lbs while taking 41 pounds off the car. Buying the same six items separately costs more and, more importantly, leaves the owner to hope the pieces agree with each other. They do here, because Fabspeed developed them as a set: the 200-cell HJS Sport Cats are matched to the 3-into-1 merge collectors, and the XperTune calibration is written for exactly this hardware. For an owner who has decided the 997.2 GT3 is a keeper, this is the one purchase that settles the question.

Construction

The exhaust hardware is 14-16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel throughout. The Sport Headers run high-velocity 3-into-1 pyramidal investment-case merge collectors, which is where a meaningful share of the package’s scavenging gain comes from, feeding German-imported HJS 200-cell Sport Cats. The Mini Maxflo cases are hydro-formed and radius stress relieved rather than folded, pulse TIG welded, and packed with 2000-degree ceramic fiber and stainless steel wool. The Side Muffler Bypass Pipes are straight-through and account for 34 of the package’s 41 pounds on their own.

Notes

This package is supplied with 200-cell HJS Sport Cats and is intended for closed-course and off-road use. The Sport Cats are not California Air Resources Board certified and not EPA certified. Check your local, state and federal law before purchasing and installing, as all installation and use risk is borne by the owner and installer.
Fabspeed guarantees no check engine light with the Performance Package for 997.2 as supplied, because the HJS Sport Cats retain enough scrubbing capability to satisfy the factory monitors
To ensure a proper header seal, tighten all exhaust bolts to the OEM torque specification after the initial heat cycle
GT3 configurations include the carbon fiber Competition Air Intake; GT3 RS configurations include a BMC air filter instead
Buying this package costs less than buying its six components separately
For a cat-back only package at a lower price point, see the Fabspeed Race Exhaust System for 997.2 Porsche 911 GT3 & GT3 RS (FS.POR.9972GT3.RACEXX), which pairs the Mini Maxflo and side bypass pipes without the headers, intake or software

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
