Do the Boost Logic Wrist Pins for LB724 fit factory pistons?

No. Boost Logic lists the Wrist Pins for LB724 Huracán and 4S R8 as compatible with its own forged pistons for the Lamborghini Huracán and the 2017 and later Audi R8 5.2 liter V10. Factory pistons and other brands are not listed, so pair these pins with a Boost Logic forged piston set.

Why upgrade from the pins supplied with the pistons?

The standard Boost Logic 5.2 forged piston set ships with heavy-duty wrist pins. The Pro Mod pins are an optional step up in C350 tool steel, chosen for tensile strength, hardness and heat resistance. They suit builds running very high cylinder pressure, where extra margin at the pin is worth the added cost.

What is C350 tool steel?

C350 is a high strength maraging steel grade valued for its tensile strength and hardness. Boost Logic uses it for these pins because it resists wear and carries high loads, and because it holds its properties through the temperature swings a high-performance engine goes through on track and street.

How many pins come in the package?

Boost Logic does not state the quantity in its description. The product photo shows ten pins, which matches one pin per cylinder of the V10, but confirm the contents and whether clips are included with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering, so the engine build is not held up waiting for parts.

Do the pins require professional installation?

Yes. Wrist pins are fitted when the pistons are assembled to the connecting rods with the engine apart, so they are normally installed by the engine builder during a V10 build. Pin to piston and pin to rod clearances should be checked during assembly before the rotating assembly goes into the block.

Description

Boost Logic Pro Mod Wrist Pins for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8

Boost Logic’s Pro Mod Wrist Pins for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8 are an optional upgrade pin made from C350 tool steel for Boost Logic forged pistons in the 5.2-liter V10. Boost Logic chose C350 for its tensile strength, hardness and heat resistance, which keep wear low and load-bearing capacity high in engines making big power on track or street. They make sense in a high-output V10 build on Boost Logic pistons; they are not an upgrade for factory pistons, since Boost Logic lists compatibility only with its own forged pistons.

Features

C350 tool steel construction
High tensile strength and hardness for high load capacity and minimal wear
Heat resistance suited to engines that see extreme temperature swings
Optional step up from the heavy-duty pins supplied with Boost Logic 5.2 forged pistons

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
