Drivers who want the loudest, most unfiltered sound out of the DE5 Integra Type S have a straightforward option in the AWE Tuning Track Edition Exhaust. The front pipe, mid-pipe resonator, and overall construction carry over from the Touring Edition, but the 180 Technology resonator at the rear is replaced with a straight section. That change defines the character of this system; it’s aggressive through mid-range acceleration and deceleration, it drones at cruise, and adding a downpipe pushes the volume higher still. Not Valved

• AWE’s development process included a thorough evaluation of the factory valve across multiple driving conditions to understand what it was actually contributing. The conclusion was that the volume difference between modes doesn’t justify the valve’s existence in the system. Comfort mode keeps it closed, though it opens past a certain throttle point; sport and sport+ hold it open, with sport+ adding ECU-driven burbles. On the stock setup, flow routes through the side mufflers with the valve closed to manage cabin volume, then shifts through the center when it opens. AWE’s configuration removes all of that, running a full straight-through path regardless of drive mode.

Front Pipes

• A full 3-inch front pipe is part of the system, built around a specific flange and gasket that keeps the full diameter intact from inlet to outlet. It integrates directly into the exhaust rather than functioning as a separate component, and it works with both the factory downpipe and aftermarket units. AWE exhausts are not compatible with other aftermarket front pipes.

Exhaust Tips

• Three 4.5-inch double-walled, slash-cut tips in Diamond Black are included, each stamped with the AWE logo. Depth into the bumper is individually adjustable on all three.
