Not Valved

The conclusion; there’s no meaningful volume difference between modes that actually justifies the valve’s existence. It stays closed in comfort mode, though it still opens past a certain throttle threshold, and sport and sport+ mode holds it open; sport+ also adds ECU-driven burbles. On the stock setup, exhaust flow routes through the side mufflers with the valve closed to manage interior volume and drone-prone frequencies, then shifts through the center when it opens. AWE’s configurations replace all of that with a full straight-through exhaust path running through the 180 Technology resonator, which handles drone suppression without mode-dependent routing or gimmicks, at all times, regardless of what driving mode you’re in.
