Is an alignment needed once the arms are on?

Yes. The manufacturer states that an alignment is required once the arms are installed. The arms must also be fitted to the specified torque, and the bolts and nuts should be rechecked regularly, particularly before every circuit session, because pillow ball joints are less forgiving of loose hardware.

Why adjust rear camber on a front-drive Integra?

The manufacturer calls rear camber adjustment the basis of setting up a front-drive car. Rear camber changes how much grip the rear tires have relative to the front, which shifts how readily the car rotates in a corner. Being able to set it freely makes balance tuning much easier.

What are the Rear Upper Arms for DC2 cars made from?

The Rear Upper Arms for DC2 cars use 2017S aluminum alloy for the arm bodies, chosen to help reduce weight, with pillow ball joints at the ends and a turnbuckle in the middle. The turnbuckle sets arm length, which is how rear camber is adjusted.

Are both sides included?

Yes. The set includes one right rear upper arm and one left rear upper arm, which covers the whole rear axle in a single order. Because both arms use the same turnbuckle adjustment, camber can be matched side to side during the alignment.

Do they fit the Acura Integra Type R?

Yes. They are listed for the 1997 to 2001 Acura Integra Type R with the B18C5 as well as the 1995 to 2001 Honda Integra Type R with the B18C. Both share the DC2 rear suspension these arms are designed around.

Description

J’s Racing Rear Upper Arms for DC2 Honda Integra Type R

J’s Racing’s Rear Upper Arms for DC2 Integra Type R start from a principle the Osaka company states plainly: the foundation of setting up a front-drive car is rear camber adjustment. These turnbuckle arms carry pillow ball joints at their ends, so arm length, and with it rear camber, can be set wherever you want. The bodies are 2017S aluminum alloy, which keeps weight down, and the turnbuckle layout makes alignment work much quicker. J’s Racing calls them an essential part for sports driving. They suit a DC2 being tuned for circuit balance, where rear camber changes how freely the car rotates; a stock-height street car has little use for them.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
