Do I need a tune after installing these injectors?

Yes. The FA20 calculates port fuel delivery from injector flow, offset and short pulse data, and the ID1750-XDS differs from the factory port injector on all three. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for the 1750, and your tuner loads it while setting how fuel is split between the port and direct systems.

Does this set replace the direct injectors?

No. The FA20 uses both port and direct injection, and this set replaces only the four port injectors. The direct injectors stay factory. Forced induction FA20 builds usually add fuel on the port side, because the low pressure system is easier to scale.

Will the ID1750-XDS Port Injector Set fit a 2022 or newer GR86 or BRZ?

Not confirmed. The ID1750-XDS Port Injector Set is supplied for the 2.0 liter FA20 cars, meaning the FR-S, the 86 and the first generation BRZ. The 2.4 liter FA24 cars are a different engine, so confirm fitment with Injector Dynamics before ordering for a second generation car.

Can I run E85 with these injectors?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the 1750 for ethanol, methanol, MTBE, nitromethane and all known hydrocarbon fuels. E85 needs roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline for the same power, which is why boosted FA20 owners planning on ethanol often choose this flow class over the ID1300.

What warranty comes with these injectors?

Injector Dynamics warrants its injectors for one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, provided they run the correct fuel with proper filtration. The four injectors are flow matched as a set, so a single replacement is arranged through Injector Dynamics, which also offers a cleaning and flow test service in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1750-XDS Port Injector Set for ZN6 Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and ZC6 Subaru BRZ

Injector Dynamics’ ID1750-XDS Port Injector Set for ZN6 Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and ZC6 Subaru BRZ puts four 1728cc/min injectors in the FA20’s port injector locations, which is where the extra fuel for a turbocharger, a supercharger or E85 has to come from. The factory direct injectors stay in place. Injector Dynamics developed the 1750 as the successor to its ID1700, adding dynamic flow without raising the minimum fuel mass, so the short pulses at idle and light throttle stay accurate. On a naturally aspirated FA20 this is far more injector than needed; it suits a forced-induction car, above all one headed for ethanol.

Configuration

The 18.04 in the part number is the Injector Dynamics application code for this engine. The 36 is the 36mm body length and the 11 is the 11mm top, sized for the factory port injector bores. The same application is offered in the ID1300-XDS and ID2600-XDS flow classes.

Features

ID1750-XDS Port Injector Set flow matched as a group of four
Rated for gasoline, ethanol, methanol, MTBE and nitromethane
Higher dynamic flow than the ID1700 it replaces, with no rise in minimum fuel mass
Tighter cylinder-to-cylinder balance at short pulsewidths and lower pressure sensitivity

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1728cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), E10 certification fuel at 49C (120F)

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
