Will these injectors work alongside the factory direct injection?

Yes. The FA20 runs both port and direct injection, and this set replaces only the four port injectors. The direct injectors stay factory, and your tuner decides how fuel is shared between the two systems, with the port side carrying the extra fuel for boost.

Which FA20 builds suit the ID1300-XDS Port Injector Set?

The ID1300-XDS Port Injector Set suits a turbocharged or supercharged FA20 at moderate output, on gasoline or a measured move to ethanol. It adds 1335cc per minute per port injector alongside the factory direct injectors. Cars aiming for high boost on E85 are better matched to the ID1750-XDS or ID2600-XDS sets for the same engine.

Does it fit the 2022 and later GR86 or BRZ?

Not confirmed. Injector Dynamics supplies this set for the 2.0 liter FA20 found in the FR-S, the 86 and the first generation BRZ. The later 2.4 liter FA24 cars use a different engine, so check with Injector Dynamics before ordering for a second generation car.

Does the car need a new calibration?

Yes. The FA20 engine management needs flow, offset and short pulse data for the new port injectors, which differ from the factory parts on all three. Injector Dynamics publishes that data for the ID1300-XDS, and the tuner uses it while setting how much fuel each injection system delivers at every load.

How does E85 change the injector choice?

Ethanol needs roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline for the same power. The ID1300-XDS was designed for alternative fuels and is compatible with all of them, so it handles E85 well at moderate output. Owners chasing big boost on ethanol usually step up to a larger flow class, and the fuel pump must keep pace either way.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS Port Injector Set for ZN6 Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and ZC6 Subaru BRZ

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS Port Injector Set for ZN6 Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and ZC6 Subaru BRZ replaces the FA20’s four port injectors with 1335cc/min units, adding the fuel a turbocharged, supercharged or E85 car needs while the direct injectors stay factory. As the lowest-flowing of the three FA20 sets listed here, the 1300 suits a moderate forced-induction build and keeps a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline, so idle and part throttle remain tidy. A naturally aspirated FA20 has no use for it.

Configuration

Application code 18.04 covers the FA20, while the 36 and 11 give the 36mm body length and the 11mm top that fit the factory port injector bores. The set is matched as four and also comes in the ID1750-XDS and ID2600-XDS flow classes.

Features

ID1300-XDS Port Injector Set flow matched as a group of four
Rated for every known fuel and designed specifically around alternative fuels such as E85 and methanol
Gasoline-compatible minimum fuel mass, so part-throttle fueling stays controllable

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels; designed specifically for alternative fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 36mm
Top: 11mm

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS port injectors (x4)

Applications

Scion FR-S: ZN6 | 2013-2016 | 2.0L FA20
Subaru BRZ: ZC6 | 2013-2020 | 2.0L FA20
Toyota 86: ZN6 | 2017-2020 | 2.0L FA20

Notes

Only the four port injectors are replaced; the factory direct injectors are not included and remain in service
Listed for the FA20 cars; fitment on the FA24 GR86 and second-generation BRZ is not confirmed
Wiring with Denso plugs needs the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter or an equivalent, because every injector here has a USCAR connector
The engine management must be recalibrated with the Injector Dynamics characterization data before the car is driven
Also offered as the ID1750-XDS Port Injector Set and ID2600-XDS Port Injector Set for the same application

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
