This Ford Escort NTR-R3 Coilover Kit from Nitron is for Mark II owners who have outgrown a single-knob setup. The car made its name in rallying, where the surface can change every few miles, and the same mix of tarmac, gravel and broken lanes is why one fixed damping compromise never suits it. At around 955kg in 1.6 Ghia form and rear-wheel drive, the Mark II reacts quickly to what the dampers are doing. This kit gives each corner four independent adjusters and a piggyback reservoir, front and rear, so you can set body control and bump absorption separately for the road, a stage or a circuit.

Unique Technology

The Nitron Ford Escort NTR-R3 damper is a monotube design pressurized with nitrogen. The piggyback reservoir sits directly on the damper at each corner, so there are no hoses at all to route or protect. Four adjusters cover high speed compression, low speed compression, high speed rebound and low speed rebound. Low speed settings shape how the car pitches, rolls and squats as you steer, brake and accelerate. High speed settings decide how it deals with ruts, curbs and sharp edges. Because each one works on its own, you can tighten the platform without making the car skittish over rough ground.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
