Nitron NTR-R3 Coilover Kit for GC Subaru Impreza

The Nitron GC Impreza NTR-R3 Coilover Kit is for the GC that gets used the way these cars were always meant to be, on rough surfaces with big hits, hard braking, and repeated loading that overwhelms a single-dial damper. The GC is a light, boxer-powered car with MacPherson struts at both ends, and on a broken road or a gravel stage the factory dampers run out of control quickly, while firmer springs on a combined adjuster force a compromise between how the car handles a big impact and how it controls body movement through a corner. Nitron’s NTR-R3 separates those adjustments, with independent high and low speed compression and rebound at each corner, so the sharp hits from potholes and ruts can be set apart from the slower movements of weight transfer under braking and cornering. Piggyback reservoirs at the front and rear add oil capacity so damping holds through a long stage or a full track session, and because they mount directly to the damper body there are no hoses to route around the suspension. The rear follows the OEM rear suspension type, so the factory layout stays in place, and adjustable top mounts at both ends give the alignment room to be set up for how the car is driven. The kit covers the 1.6, 1.6 AWD, 1.8 AWD, 2.0 AWD, 2.0 Turbo GT AWD, and 2.2 AWD GC variants.

Unique Technology

Each Nitron NTR-R3 damper is a monotube design pressurized with nitrogen gas, which keeps the oil from aerating and holds damping consistent as temperatures climb. The piston and shim work came out of motorsport programs and is tuned for the weight and spring rates of a GC rather than adapted from a generic curve, and the piggyback reservoirs give the oil room to work through repeated hard hits without fading.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
