The F8X generation is done, and ADRO decided to finish it properly rather than let the parts trail off. The Final Edition line is the last aero ADRO will make for the F80 M3 and F82 M4, built as the definitive version of each piece. The ADRO F8X M3 M4 Front Lip Final Edition is the second iteration of their F8X lip, refined from everything learned building the original, and it closes the gap between the factory bumper and the road with a lower, more aggressive leading edge. What separates it from a purely cosmetic lip is that ADRO published the numbers: fitted as part of the complete Final Edition kit, the F80 M3 setup adds 516N (116 lbs) of downforce for only 19N (4 lbs) of drag, and the F82 M4 setup adds 257N (58 lbs) for 63N (14 lbs).

A Genuine Aero Return, Not Just a Lower Nose

Most bolt-on lips buy their looks with drag. The Final Edition numbers are unusual because of the ratio rather than the absolute figures: on the F80 M3, 116 lbs of downforce for 4 lbs of drag is close to free load, and even the F82’s 58 lbs for 14 lbs is a sensible trade. Those figures describe the complete Final Edition kit rather than the lip in isolation, but they tell you the parts were shaped with airflow in mind rather than styled and measured afterwards.

The ADRO F8X M3 M4 Front Lip Final Edition is clear coated wet carbon fiber, shaped to fit the F80 and F82 bumpers with no modification to the factory fascia. It mounts with 3M double sided tape backed up by six factory-location screws, and the kit includes adhesion promoter, which is there for a reason: on a part that sits at the lowest, dirtiest point of the car, the bond is only as good as the preparation. Degrease the mounting face thoroughly and fit in a warm environment.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
