ADRO Carbon Side Skirts Final Edition for F80 BMW M3

The F8X generation is done, and ADRO decided to finish it properly rather than let the parts trail off. The Final Edition line is the last aero ADRO will make for the F80 M3 and F82 M4, built as the definitive version of each piece. Unlike the F82 parts, which are second iterations, the ADRO F80 M3 Side Skirts Final Edition are ADRO’s first and only skirt for this chassis, built from the ground up to be the definitive one rather than refined from an earlier attempt. They run the full length of the rocker panel, sharpening the F80’s side profile and tying the front lip to the rear so the sedan reads as a complete aero package. With the rest of the Final Edition kit the F80 setup adds 516N (116 lbs) of downforce for only 19N (4 lbs) of drag, the most efficient figure in the entire line.

The F80 Gets the Better Numbers

It is worth noting that the F80 M3 Final Edition kit substantially out-performs the F82 M4 version on paper: 116 lbs of downforce for 4 lbs of drag against the coupe’s 58 lbs for 14 lbs. The sedan’s longer roofline and different rear give the aero more to work with, and the practical read is that on an F80 this package is a genuine handling addition rather than a visual one. The skirts contribute by managing airflow along the flanks so the front and rear parts are not working against turbulent air.

Bolted, Not Taped

The ADRO F80 M3 Side Skirts Final Edition mount with 30 screws onto the F80’s factory rocker points and use no adhesive at all. That means the fit is mechanically located rather than dependent on how well the surface was degreased, it survives winter and pressure washing without the anxiety a tape-mounted part carries, and it comes off again without heat or fishing line. On a panel running the full length of the car, screwing to factory points is the right decision.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
