Beginning with the comprehensive 3D scanning of the OEM exhaust system using the Creaform 700 Handscan, they meticulously created a Solidworks 3D model for precise design. The exhaust and fixtures were then crafted to ensure an impeccable fit with OEM standards. After rigorous testing and revisions for sound optimization and dyno performance, they incorporated their signature cast 70mm 2.75″ x-pipe to synchronize the two cylinder banks, improving exhaust scavenging and minimizing resonance. Utilizing exhaust valves from Helical Limited, an ISO 9001-certified manufacturer trusted by elite brands like Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche, along with mandrel-bent Titanium piping. Sound

• When PSE is deactivated, the valvetronic exhaust system delivers a subtle yet discernible boost in volume. However, with PSE activated, it transforms the 4.0L engine’s exhaust note into a genuinely exotic sound, marked by a substantial increase in volume. This change takes the exhaust note from the smooth purr of the OEM exhaust to the fierce and race-inspired snarl reminiscent of a 911 CUP car. For those needing to reduce the exhaust volume to comply with race track regulations, Fabspeed offers turn-down tips that effectively reduce exhaust sound pressure levels by 3-6 decibels.

Power

• This exhaust system enhances Porsche’s original design by increasing the pipe diameter from 2.5 inches to 2.75 inches and incorporating their signature investment cast x-pipe in place of the factory h-pipe. Extensive DynoJet testing revealed impressive results, with a gain of +17.5 crank hp or +14whp at 4200 rpm and a substantial increase in torque at the same rpm, providing an additional 17 ft/lbs. These notable power enhancements deliver a tangible and dynamic improvement in performance, coupled with significant rear weight reduction.
