APR cures the panel from pre-preg carbon fiber in an autoclave under heat and pressure, laid in a 2×2 twill weave over a nomex honeycomb or glass-matting core, then works a splitter into the leading edge so a high-pressure zone forms above the panel while air keeps moving cleanly underneath. That pressure difference is what takes front-end lift out and gives the steering something to hold onto in fast corners. Metal skid plates along the underside take the driveway and parking-block contact that would otherwise chip bare carbon.
