Does the Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust change the C8's factory look?

No. The Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust is a bolt-on cat-back for the C8 Corvette E-Ray that works with the factory valved exhaust and keeps the stock exit layout, so there is no conversion bumper or body change involved. It is built for the 2023-and-newer E-Ray with the 6.2-liter LT2; confirm your car matches before ordering.

Will it set a check engine light?

It can, because of the LT2's cylinder-deactivation system, so Fabspeed includes two AFM simulator plugs and recommends running the car in 8-cylinder mode. If a light does appear after installation, the AFM or NPP system may need recalibration. Plan on that step rather than expecting a guaranteed no-light result.

Do I keep the factory valve control and both sound modes?

Yes. The system plugs into the E-Ray's factory NPP valves, so both sound modes stay on the same button you already use. The difference is that the factory exhaust chokes flow with the valves closed, while the Maxflo keeps a smooth path open or closed, so even the quiet mode breathes and sounds better.

Does it drone on the highway?

In the quiet mode the system is built around the factory valve behavior, so at a steady cruise it stays civil rather than droning, while still sounding fuller than stock. Open the valves and it gets louder and more aggressive across the range, but you can close them from the factory button whenever you want calm.

How much power and weight does it change?

Fabspeed measured 8 wheel horsepower and 9 lb-ft from the system, with the gains spread across the rev range rather than only at peak, and it comes in about 20 pounds lighter than the factory exhaust. The flow improvement, open or closed, is where both the power and the fuller tone come from.

What tips are available, and is it a bolt-on?

You choose polished stainless steel, carbon fiber, satin black, or clear tips at checkout. The system is a DIY bolt-on with no cutting or welding, using the factory hangers and the included AFM simulator plugs, though a lift and a second set of hands make the swap easier given the weight.

Description

Fabspeed Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust System for C8 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray

The Fabspeed Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust System for the C8 Corvette E-Ray is designed to deliver impressive performance gains of 8whp and 9ft/lbs, enhancing both power and sound across the RPM band. Featuring 3.0” (76mm) T304L / 321 stainless steel tubing and flexible bellows, this system allows the C8 engine to breathe more freely, improving exhaust flow whether the valves are open or closed. The heat shielding, made from amorphous silica fiber wrapped with 321 stainless steel, ensures optimal heat management. While the factory NPP (Valved) exhaust flows well with the valves open, it chokes the exhaust flow when closed, but with the Fabspeed system, you’ll experience smooth, consistent flow and power gains regardless of valve position. Expect even more improvements when compared to a C8 equipped with the base (non-valved) exhaust.

Sound

The system was designed to have two completely enthralling personalities, easily interchangeable with the click of a button. Drivers can choose when to enjoy an aggressive sound with noticeable power gains at full throttle, or close the valves for a more restrained sound while cruising through the city or neighborhood. Fabspeed’s X-Pipe design adds a hint of exotic mid-engine tone while highlighting the distinctive loping of the American V8. Check out the videos below to hear it for yourself.

Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
