The front lip set in the ChiTu carbon fiber body kit draws inspiration from its namesake, the legendary swift steed of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Designed to transform the factory Prancing Horse into a bold and aggressive Warhorse, the front lip is meticulously crafted from high-grade carbon fiber. This component accentuates the sharp, aerodynamic lines of the 488 GTB while ensuring impeccable fitment and enhanced airflow dynamics.

3D Scanning

• Upon completing the model and concept, ZACOE Performance acquires an OEM car and performs a 3D scanning process to produce an exceptionally precise digital model. Using a specialized scanner, the car’s exact shape and dimensions are captured, forming the basis for the design process. ZACOE Performance emphasizes sophisticated inner mechanisms and bolt-on fitment, making accuracy in this stage essential. The 3D scanning process typically takes over 40 hours per car.

Digital Design & Testing

• With the digitally scanned model in hand, ZACOE Performance designers gather for brainstorming sessions and begin creating hand-drawn sketches to outline their concepts. These sketches are transformed into digital designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software, allowing designers to develop their boldest ideas. Once the draft design is ready, basic aerodynamic testing is performed using advanced software, underscoring the importance of technology in achieving ZACOE Performance’s hallmark sophistication, quality, and innovation.

Prototyping

• Following the design and testing phases, ZACOE Performance fabricates a physical prototype of the kit using ABS material. This process involves advanced equipment, such as 3D printers or CNC machines, to create each component of the kit. The prototype is then assembled and tested on the vehicle to confirm proper fitment and performance expectations.

Mold-making

• After finalizing the prototype and making necessary adjustments, ZACOE Performance transitions to the mold-making stage for the carbon fiber kit. The prototype is used to create molds for each component, which are then employed in producing the finished product. Combining skilled craftsmanship with specialized machinery, the mold-making process demands a high degree of precision. The result is a lightweight, sleek carbon fiber kit that enhances both the car’s performance and aesthetics.
