The Urban x Vossen UV-7 is a forged wheel developed exclusively for Land Rover and Range Rover applications, available in 23 and 24-inch diameters across Vossen’s full finish range. Part of the collaborative series between Urban Automotive and Vossen, the UV-7 is built from a solid billet of aluminum pressed under high pressure into a monoblock construction, producing a denser grain structure and strength-to-weight ratio that cast wheels at this diameter cannot replicate. The wheel runs a floating center-cap, keeping the Urban icon stationary and upright while the wheel rotates. Finishing is carried out entirely in-house at Vossen’s Miami facility, with the complete solid color range available as standard across gloss, matte, satin, and textured options. Brushed and hand-polished transparent finishes are available as upgrades at additional cost and must be specified at the time of ordering. Fitment is developed around the L460 platform and the UV-7 works within the Urban Automotive Widetrack program.

Vossen Finishing

Prior to shipment, each UV-7 goes through Vossen’s complete in-house finishing process at their Miami facility, starting with hand-sanding and deburring after machining. Brushed-finish wheels require up to five hours of hand preparation per wheel to produce a consistent surface. Brushing and polishing are available as separate upgrade options, with full ceramic polishing achieving a mirror finish and the combination of both sitting somewhere between. Each wheel then goes through a seven-stage pre-treatment process before powder coating, with a film thickness gauge used at final inspection to confirm uniformity before the wheel ships.

Urban Automotive is a UK-based vehicle modification specialist founded in 2013 with a focus on luxury and performance SUVs. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates.
