The Urban x Vossen UV-5 is a forged wheel developed exclusively for Land Rover and Range Rover applications with it’s exclusive floating center-cap, available in 23 and 24-inch diameters with Vossen’s full range of finish options. Part of the UV-series collaboration between Urban Automotive and Vossen, it combines Urban’s L460-specific fitment development with Vossen’s forged manufacturing, producing a wheel built from a solid billet of aluminum pressed under high pressure for a grain structure and strength-to-weight ratio that cast construction cannot match. Each UV-5 is hand-finished at Vossen’s Miami facility, with the complete solid color range available as standard across gloss, matte, satin, and textured options. Brushed and polished transparent finishes are available as upgrades at additional cost and must be specified at the time of ordering. Fitment is developed around the L460 platform, and the UV-5 works within the Urban Automotive Widetrack Program for owners assembling a full exterior build.

Vossen Finishing

Before leaving Vossen’s Miami facility, each UV-5 goes through the full in-house finishing process, starting with hand-sanding and deburring after machining. Brushed-finish wheels require up to five hours of hand-sanding per wheel to produce an even surface. Both brushing and polishing are available as upgrade options, with full ceramic polishing producing a mirror finish and the combination of the two sitting somewhere between. Every wheel then goes through a seven-stage pre-treatment process to remove surface impurities before entering Vossen’s dedicated powder coating facility. A film thickness gauge is used at final inspection to confirm coating uniformity before the wheel is packaged for shipment.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates.
