The Urban x Vossen UV-4 is a forged wheel developed exclusively for Land Rover and Range Rover applications, available in 23 and 24-inch diameters with Vossen’s full range of finish options. Like the rest of the UV-series, it brings together Urban Automotive’s platform-specific fitment knowledge for the L460 and Vossen’s forged manufacturing process, starting from a solid billet of aluminum pressed under high pressure into shape for a tighter grain structure and better strength-to-weight ratio than cast alternatives. Each UV-4 is finished by hand at Vossen’s Miami facility, with the full solid color range available as standard across gloss, matte, satin, and textured options, and brushed or polished transparent finishes available as upgrades at additional cost. Fitment is developed around the L460 platform, and the wheel sits within the Urban Automotive Widetrack Program for owners putting together a complete exterior build.

Vossen Finishing

Each UV-4 goes through Vossen’s complete in-house finishing process before leaving the facility, beginning with hand-sanding and deburring post-machining. Wheels specified with a brushed finish require up to five hours of hand-sanding per wheel to achieve a consistent surface. Brushing and polishing are both available as upgrades, with full ceramic polishing delivering a mirror finish and the two combined producing a result that sits between the two extremes. Prior to powder coating, every wheel goes through a seven-stage pre-treatment process to strip surface impurities and ensure an even bond, followed by powder coating in Vossen’s dedicated wheel facility. A film thickness gauge is used during final inspection to verify coating uniformity before the wheel is packaged for shipment.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
