What does the V10 Intercooler Pump Harness connect?

The T1 V10 Intercooler Pump Harness wires the Pierburg brushless water pump used in T1 ice box kits on the LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8. It connects the pump to its PWM control signal so the engine management can run it.

Why does the pump need a PWM signal?

T1 Race Development states that the pump requires a PWM signal for operation. A pulse width modulated signal lets the engine management set the pump speed, so the tuner can decide how hard the water circuit works instead of the pump simply running at one speed.

Where does the PWM signal come from?

Usually from a spare output on the engine management, configured by the tuner. On MoTeC M1 cars, T1 often uses the spare four-wire circuit in its M1 AWD control harness for intercooler pump control. Confirm the available outputs with the tuner before ordering.

Will it work with other water pumps?

T1 Race Development lists the harness as compatible with the Pierburg brushless water pump used in its ice box kits. It is made for that pump and its connection, so a different pump would need wiring matched to it rather than this harness.

Is the pump included?

No. The harness is wiring only. The Pierburg brushless pump comes with each T1 ice box kit for the R8, Huracán and Huracán STO, and with the T1 complete ice box kits, which pair the box with the T1 intercoolers and shelf.

Description

T1 Race Development V10 Intercooler Pump Harness for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8

T1 Race Development’s V10 Intercooler Pump Harness for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8 wires the Pierburg brushless water pump used in T1’s ice box kits. The pump does not simply switch on with power; it needs a PWM signal to run, and this harness is how T1 connects the pump to that signal.

Design and Performance

A brushless pump driven by PWM lets the engine management set pump speed rather than run it flat out, so the tuner decides how hard the water circuit works. That signal has to come from somewhere, normally a spare ECU output, and has to reach the pump in the front trunk. On MoTeC M1 installations, T1 often uses the spare four-wire circuit in its T1 Race Development M1 AWD Control Harness (T1 R8/Huracan AWD Harness) for intercooler pump control.

Where It Fits

The harness is compatible with the Pierburg brushless pump in the T1 ice box kits for the R8, Huracán and Huracán STO, including the pump supplied in the T1 complete ice box kits.

Features

Made for the Pierburg brushless pump in T1 ice box kits
Connects the pump to a PWM control signal
Suits the R8, Huracán and Huracán STO ice boxes
Lets the tuner set water pump speed

Applications

Audi R8: 4S | 2017-2023 | 5.2L V10
Lamborghini Huracán: LB724 | 2015-2024 | 5.2L V10

Notes

The pump requires a PWM signal to operate; the ECU or controller must provide one, set up by the tuner
The V10 Intercooler Pump Harness does not include the pump, which comes with the T1 Race Development V10 Ice Box Kit (T1 R8 Ice Box Kit)
T1 lists the harness for the Pierburg pump used in its own ice box kits

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
