What does the V10 Ice Box Kit do?

The V10 Ice Box Kit gives the intercooler water circuit a large tank in the front trunk. Filled with ice and water before a run, it sends cold water to the intercoolers, and the Pierburg brushless pump supplied with the box circulates it through the system.

Which version fits my car?

T1 Race Development builds one version for the second generation Audi R8, one for the LB724 Huracán except the STO, and one for the Huracán STO. Choose the matching vehicle when ordering, as each box is fabricated to fit its own front trunk cavity.

Why is the STO version less expensive?

T1 lists the STO kit with the water box, billet lid, Pierburg brushless pump, billet rear bulkhead and 16AN hose, but without the 10AN drain line, drain bulkhead and internal drain valve that come with the R8 and Huracán kits. That accounts for the lower price.

How is the pump controlled?

The Pierburg brushless pump needs a PWM signal to run. The T1 V10 Intercooler Pump Harness connects the pump to the signal source, and the tuner then sets the duty through the engine management, so confirm an output is available first.

Are intercoolers included?

No. This listing covers the ice box, its lid, pump and connections only. The T1 V10 Intercooler Pair, the intercooler shelf and, for the R8, the line kit and heat exchanger kit are available separately or together in the T1 V10 Complete Ice Box Kit.

Description

T1 Race Development V10 Ice Box Kit for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8

T1 Race Development’s V10 Ice Box Kit for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8 trades a small intercooler reservoir for a large water box fabricated to fill the front trunk cavity. Filled with ice and water before a run, it feeds cold water to a water-to-air intercooler system, and a Pierburg brushless pump mounted with the box moves it through the circuit.

Choosing a Version

The R8 kit fits the second generation Audi R8 and adds a removable panel for pump wiring and inspection. The Huracán kit fits the LB724 Huracán except the STO. The STO kit is made for the Huracán STO frunk, uses a billet rear bulkhead and costs less, as T1 does not list a drain line for it.

Design and Performance

Every box is finished in wrinkle black and closed by an 8 inch billet lid engraved with the T1 logo. Water leaves through a bulkhead in the box, joined by a 16AN hose, and the R8 and Huracán kits add a 10AN drain line with its own bulkhead and an internal drain valve so the box can be emptied after a session.

Features

Water box fabricated to fill the frunk cavity
8 inch billet lid engraved with the T1 logo
Pierburg brushless water pump
16AN tank to bulkhead hose
Wrinkle black finish

What’s Included

R8: water box, billet lid, removable pump access panel, Pierburg brushless pump, front trim bulkhead, 16AN hose, 10AN drain line, 10AN drain bulkhead and internal drain valve
Huracán: water box, billet lid, Pierburg brushless pump, water passthrough bulkhead, 16AN hose, 10AN drain line, 10AN drain bulkhead and internal drain valve
Huracán STO: water box, billet lid, Pierburg brushless pump, billet rear bulkhead and 16AN hose

Applications

Audi R8: 4S | 2017-2023 | 5.2L V10
Lamborghini Huracán: LB724 | 2015-2024 | 5.2L V10

Notes

Choose the STO version for a Huracán STO; the standard Huracán kit excludes it
T1’s Huracán pages describe the bulkhead as a front trim bulkhead in one place and a billet rear bulkhead in another, so BA confirms the parts at order
The pump needs a PWM signal; the T1 Race Development V10 Intercooler Pump Harness (T1 V10 IC Pump Harness) connects it
Intercoolers and water lines are sold separately; the T1 Race Development V10 Complete Ice Box Kit (T1 R8 Complete Ice Box Kit) bundles them with this V10 Ice Box Kit

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
