Is the BPC Plug and Play Harness fully plug and play?

Nearly. The T1 BPC Plug and Play Harness plugs into the factory harness where the original pump controller was and runs a pre-made loom to the tank lid bulkhead. Wiring from inside the bulkhead to the level senders, and terminating the pump pigtail, is left to the installer.

Where does the harness get its signals?

T1 Race Development 3D prints a connector to mate with the factory harness at the original pump controller location. From there the harness picks up switched power, ground and the PWM signal that sets pump speed, which is why the tuner must be able to control that signal.

Does it include the main power supply?

No. The high current supply from the battery to the BPC controller comes from the T1 BPC power harness, which uses 4 AWG wire, a resettable circuit breaker and RADLOK firewall connectors. Plan both harnesses together when wiring an FPS1100 in a Huracán or R8.

Who builds the harness?

Race Spec builds it for T1 Race Development using Tefzel wire and DR25 heat shrink, the construction T1 uses on most of its harnesses. Tefzel insulation stands up to heat, fuel and abrasion better than ordinary automotive wire, which suits a loom that runs to the fuel tank.

Which cars does the harness fit?

It is made for the Lamborghini Huracán and the second generation Audi R8 running the T1 in-tank fuel system, which covers the 2015 and later Huracán and the 2017 and later R8. It is not designed for other in-tank pump arrangements.

Description

T1 Race Development BPC Plug and Play Harness for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8

T1 Race Development’s BPC Plug and Play Harness for LB724 Lamborghini Huracán and 4S Audi R8 makes installing the Injector Dynamics BPC controller in a T1 in-tank fuel system about as simple as it gets. T1 began with a connector of its own design, 3D printed to mate with the factory harness, which plugs in where the original pump controller sat and picks up switched power, ground and the PWM signal.

Design and Performance

A pre-made loom runs from the BPC to the bulkhead connector in the tank lid, so that section is plug and play, and a short adapter links the bulkhead to the factory fuel level sender connector. The only work that is not plug and play is the wiring from the inside of the bulkhead to the level senders and terminating the pump pigtail at the connector inside the bulkhead. Race Spec builds the harness for T1 from Tefzel wire with DR25 heat shrink.

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
