SOUL Performance designed the Bolt-On X-Pipe with Tips for the Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman (2017+) as a direct bolt-on upgrade for owners who enjoy the factory rear exhaust but want improved flow, a more refined tone, and a cleaner, more aggressive tip design. By replacing the factory “T” tip section – which forces exhaust gases to collide and create turbulence – SOUL Performance’s smooth, cast T304L stainless steel X-pipe provides a more efficient exit path that helps smooth exhaust pulses, offering a small improvement in cruising efficiency and increased power during aggressive acceleration. Built with durability in mind, the cast interior is intentionally smooth and avoids common stress points associated with non-cast designs. The system is designed to fit all 718 Boxster and Cayman models equipped with either the factory exhaust or Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE), and it can be configured with a variety of 3.5-inch 321 stainless steel tip styles and finishes, with custom options available upon request. Development

• SOUL Performance identified that the factory Boxster and Cayman “T” tip section forces exhaust gases to collide as they exit the muffler before reaching the tips. This cost-cutting design creates turbulence and compromises performance. By incorporating a smooth, cast X-pipe into the rear section, SOUL Performance provides a more efficient flow path, with a small improvement in cruising fuel economy and increased power during aggressive acceleration. The cast interior is intentionally smooth and free of weld protrusions, avoiding a common weak point seen in non-cast X designs where backside weld material, stress, or inconsistent welding practices can contribute to failures. SOUL Performance made a deliberate decision to offer the most durable X-pipe solution possible, backed by proven success across its full line of Boxster and Cayman exhaust systems and supported by lifetime track warranty coverage. Cast components like this have been validated for years in OEM applications and throughout the performance aftermarket. Customers can also choose from a wide range of 321 stainless steel exhaust tips in multiple styles and finishes, with custom tip configurations available upon request.

Construction

Customers can choose from a variety of single-wall 321 stainless steel tips in slash-cut or straight-cut styles, or opt for chrome double-wall tips offered in multiple finishes to personalize the rear aesthetic.
