The SOUL Performance 992 GT3 exhaust is a non-valved performance exhaust system for the Porsche 992.2 GT3 that delivers a transformational sound experience by forgoing the factory valve programming and replacing the rear muffler with a bespoke X-pipe design. Exhaust routes from the factory headers through unique cast transition cones, through 3-inch tubing to the X-pipe, and out through a choice of 4-inch tips, making the full complement of sound from the 4.0-liter flat-six available on demand throughout the rev range. Valve Delete Modules are included to remove the factory valve exhaust without a check engine light. Cast Cones

Designed from CAD to CNC with no compromises, SOUL’s cast cones transition with the least aggressive radius possible for peak flow from the large header flange to the muffler section. The mating flanges and clamping surfaces are fully machined for a perfect seal, requiring both the casting itself and a purpose-built fixture for precision final machining. The result is the smoothest possible exhaust flow, fewer welds for improved durability, and a proper sports car sound.

Development

The GT3’s factory exhaust caters to tightening emissions and sound regulations, with the side effect of deadening the auditory experience. Even with valves open, factory valve programming tames the flat-six until 5,000 RPM. The SOUL 992 GT3 exhaust removes the secondary valved flow path entirely, directing exhaust from the factory headers through the cast cones, through 3-inch tubing, into the bespoke X-pipe design, and out through 4-inch tips. With factory headers and this system in place, emissions requirements remain unaffected and cabin presence stays reasonable.

Resonance and Sound

Early development revealed drone between 3,400 and 4,000 RPM, prompting the addition of tailored Helmholtz resonators to smooth those frequencies while maximizing the driving experience. Construction

Each system is assembled in-house in the USA from mandrel-bent, thick-wall 0.065-inch T304L stainless steel. Billet 304L stainless steel head flanges are precision-cut on a 5-axis CNC machine for the best possible exhaust flow and strength. Back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL Prime argon gas ensures proper weld penetration and long-term durability, crucial for track use. Thick-gauge aluminum fixtures act as heat sinks during welding to prevent warpage of both the components and the fixtures.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
