How should the Rear Diffuser for McLaren 720S be paired with the RYFT titanium exhaust?

RYFT builds a titanium race exhaust for the 720S as well as this diffuser, and both are made for the same car. Bulletproof Automotive confirms fitment details with RYFT before ordering the pair, so the tip position of the race exhaust and the shape of the Rear Diffuser for McLaren 720S are checked together.

How does the RYFT diffuser differ from the factory 720S diffuser?

McLaren fitted the 720S diffuser with a Dark Palladium finish on both the Luxury and Performance specifications and offered it in gloss visual carbon as an option. The RYFT version is a different shape, drawn with sharper curves from the P1 reference, and it is carbon fiber with the two by two twill left visible across the whole part.

How does RYFT list the diffuser for the 720S Spider?

RYFT sells one diffuser for McLaren 720S cars and reserves separate Coupe and Spider parts for areas where the bodies differ, such as the fenders and bridge vents. McLaren did give the Spider new underfloor aerodynamics to work with its active rear spoiler, which is worth mentioning when a Spider owner places an order.

How should a carbon diffuser be cleaned?

The diffuser sits right beside the exhaust outlets, so it collects soot and road film as well as grit. Rinse it thoroughly before washing, use a pH neutral shampoo and a soft brush in the recesses, and avoid strong degreasers on the clear finish. A UV stable ceramic coating makes the soot easier to lift at each wash.

Which RYFT parts make up a complete 720S rear end?

The rear end set covers the diffuser, the rear bumper valance, the rear bumper shell with side vents, the exhaust surround and the Long Tail rear wing. Owners who want the car to look finished from behind usually start with the diffuser and valance, then add the larger bumper shell and the wing as the build develops.

Description

RYFT Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser for McLaren 720S

RYFT’s rear diffuser for McLaren 720S cars takes the place of a part McLaren offered in Dark Palladium trim or, at extra cost, in gloss visual carbon. The diffuser frames the two round tailpipes and the lower rear bodywork, so it is seen in every rear three-quarter view and every photograph of the car leaving. We rate it alongside the RYFT rear bumper shell as one of the two parts that decide whether the back of a 720S looks factory or RYFT.

Design

When McLaren launched the P1, the car RYFT names as its reference, the company described its rear diffuser as the most aggressive yet seen on a road car, with the exhaust exiting under the rear wing above it. The 720S kept the P1 influence at the rear in its thin LED taillights, and the 765LT later received an extended carbon diffuser. RYFT draws its 720S diffuser with sharper curves in 2×2 twill, keeping the twin central exits as the focal point.

Features

2×2 twill carbon fiber with the weave exposed
Sharper diffuser profile following the P1 cues RYFT names
Frames the twin round tailpipes at the base of the P14 tail
Works with the RYFT rear valance and rear bumper shell

Applications

McLaren 720S: P14 | 2018-2023 | 4.0L M840T twin-turbo V8

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
