RYFT’s titanium race exhaust for McLaren 720S cars comes from the company that chose the 720S for its first carbon fiber exterior program, so few firms know the P14 better. The 720S launched at Geneva in March 2017 with the M840T, a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 rated at 720 PS and 770 Nm, and McLaren finished the car with two round tailpipes. Our view is that this is the right exhaust for a 720S that is already wearing RYFT carbon, because the two programs were developed for the same car by the same people.

Sound

RYFT hand builds the race system in 100 percent titanium and runs the gas through its proprietary velocity loops, which RYFT credits with the clarity and pitch of its note. A twin-turbo V8 loses some of its edge to the turbochargers in the exhaust stream, and on a car capable of the speeds a 720S reaches, owners tend to want that edge back.
