Öhlins’ DFV Road & Track Coilovers for R35 Nissan GT-R replace all four dampers and springs with Öhlins kit NIS MI31S1, which Öhlins lists for the GT-R from the 2009 to the 2025 model year. A gold knob on each front damper and a remote wheel for each rear damper switch between street and track settings in seconds, and on Öhlins’ recommended setup the car sits about 10 mm lower than stock. It suits the owner who drives to the circuit and home again; a car trailered to every event wants a dedicated track damper.

Design and Performance

The Dual Flow Valve lets one adjuster shift low and high speed compression and rebound together, so road and track settings are a turn apart rather than a session of separate changes. Both axles use aluminum monotube dampers with a spring preload adjuster and a separate damper length adjuster. The front dampers come with Öhlins aluminum ball joint top mounts, while the rear reuses the original Nissan top mounts and gains a control wire and adjustment wheel routed through the rear speaker board, so the rear damping can be changed from inside the car.
