The R33 and R34 GT-R arrived with all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, and a twin-turbocharged inline-six that made both cars genuinely formidable on track; this kit gives the chassis the damping capability to match that reputation and develop it further, whether you’re running the car on a circuit or making the most of it on the road.

How the DFV System Works

Öhlins’ Dual Flow Valve (DFV) technology handles the transition between road and race damping with a single adjustment. Turning the gold knob clockwise engages race mode across all four damping zones at once: low-speed compression, high-speed compression, low-speed rebound, and high-speed rebound. Reverse it and the damper returns to a relaxed road setting. No tools, no separate adjustments per corner. On track, the DFV internals respond quickly to surface changes, keeping all four tires loaded through corners and stable under hard braking. The GT-R’s ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive system and Super HICAS four-wheel steering already manage traction and stability with precision; this kit gives the chassis the damping support to make the most of that capability at the limit and keep the car balanced and predictable when you’re pushing it hard. Off track, the same system softens its response and filters road imperfections without the harshness that typically follows a performance spring rate setup.

Suspension Specs and Adjustment Range

Both the front and rear use aluminum monotube shock absorbers, keeping unsprung weight low across both axles and improving response through direction changes. Each corner includes a spring preload adjuster and a separate damper length adjuster, so ride height and spring load are set independently rather than as a combined adjustment. Front and rear lowering range runs approximately 15 to 45 mm on both ends, with a 90 N/mm spring rate up front and an 80 N/mm spring rate at the rear. Both ends use aluminum ball joint top mounts, replacing the original units and contributing to sharper steering response and more consistent camber behavior under load. The 1-way 25-click adjuster covers both compression and rebound across all four corners, giving enough resolution to meaningfully dial in the feel of the car between road and track use without overcomplicating the setup process.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
