The Öhlins Road & Track coilovers for Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10 are built for a car with genuine rally heritage and a chassis engineered to perform at the limit. How the DFV System Works

Öhlins’ Dual Flow Valve (DFV) technology handles the transition between road and race damping with a single adjustment. Turning the gold knob clockwise engages race mode across all four damping zones at once: low-speed compression, high-speed compression, low-speed rebound, and high-speed rebound. Reverse it and the damper returns to a relaxed road setting. No tools, no separate adjustments per corner. On track, the DFV internals respond quickly to surface changes, keeping all four tires loaded through corners and stable under hard braking. The Evo 10’s all-wheel-drive platform and active differentials already manage traction with precision; this kit gives the chassis the damping support to make the most of all that capability at the limit and keep the car balanced and predictable when you’re pushing it hard. Off track, the same system softens its response and filters road imperfections without the harshness that typically comes with a 100 N/mm front spring rate.

Suspension Specs and Adjustment Range

The front uses McPherson strut monotube upside-down technology, positioning the damper mass lower in the assembly to reduce unsprung weight and sharpen response. The front includes a spring preload adjuster and a separate damper length adjuster, with approximately 10 to 35 mm of lowering adjustment and a 100 N/mm spring rate. The front aluminum ball joint top mounts include adjustable camber, giving you the ability to dial in front geometry to suit your alignment targets and driving style. The rear uses an aluminum monotube shock absorber with a spring preload adjuster, a separate damper length adjuster, approximately 10 to 35 mm of lowering adjustment, and an 80 N/mm spring rate. The rear aluminum ball joint top mounts are fixed rather than adjustable. Both ends use a single adjuster covering compression and rebound damping together, keeping the setup process straightforward without sacrificing meaningful adjustability. The 1-way 25-click range gives enough resolution to shift the character of the car meaningfully between road and track use.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates.
