Do I need the PASM cancellation kit with these coilovers?

Öhlins lists its PASM Cancellation Kit, part 35020-10, alongside this kit. The mounting instructions say to remove the PASM wiring and fit the cancellation kit whenever the car has factory electronic dampers, which prevents fault codes once those dampers come out.

Which models do the Coilovers for 997 Porsche 911 GT3 and GT2 fit?

Öhlins lists kit POZ MN04S1 for the 997 GT3, GT3 RS and GT3 RS 4.0, plus the GT2 and GT2 RS. The Carrera, Carrera 4 and Turbo use different Öhlins kits, as do the earlier 996 GT2 and GT3.

What damping setting should I use?

Öhlins suggests 10 to 20 clicks for street driving, 5 to 10 for winding roads and 0 to 7 for track use. Each click changes compression and rebound together through the DFV valve, so one turn of the gold knob at each corner is all it takes to swap between road and circuit settings.

How low does the car sit on the Öhlins kit?

On the Öhlins recommended preload and height settings the car sits about 5 mm lower than stock, so ride height stays close to factory. The separate length adjusters then allow 10 mm up or down at the front, and 8 mm down to 10 mm up at the rear.

Does the kit keep the factory top mounts?

Yes. Both the front struts and the rear shock absorbers use the original Porsche top mounts, so no new mounts are needed. A four-wheel alignment is still recommended after fitting, because any change in ride height alters the suspension geometry.

Description

Öhlins DFV Road & Track Coilovers for 997 Porsche 911 GT2 / GT3 / GT3 RS

Öhlins’ DFV Road & Track Coilovers for 997 Porsche 911 GT3, GT3 RS and GT2 models replace all four dampers and springs with Öhlins kit POZ MN04S1, covering the GT3, GT3 RS, GT3 RS 4.0, GT2 and GT2 RS. A gold knob on each damper switches between street and track settings in seconds, and on Öhlins’ recommended setup the car sits only about 5 mm below stock. It suits the owner who drives to the circuit and home again; a car trailered to every event wants a dedicated track damper.

Design and Performance

The Dual Flow Valve lets one adjuster shift low and high speed compression and rebound together, so road and track settings are a knob turn apart rather than a session of separate changes. Separate damper length and preload adjusters set ride height at each corner, the front struts carry a helper spring above the main spring, and both ends keep the original Porsche top mounts.

Features

DFV (Dual Flow Valve) damping technology
One knob adjusts compression and rebound together at each corner
Inverted monotube McPherson struts up front
Aluminum monotube rear shock absorbers
Uses the original top mounts front and rear
Rebuildable dampers for service and custom valving
Salt spray corrosion tested to ISO 9227
TÜV approved
2-year Öhlins warranty

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
