How the DFV System Works

Öhlins’ Dual Flow Valve (DFV) technology handles the transition between road and race damping with a single adjustment. Turning the gold knob clockwise engages race mode across all four damping zones at once: low-speed compression, high-speed compression, low-speed rebound, and high-speed rebound. Reverse it and the damper returns to a relaxed road setting. No tools, no separate adjustments per corner. On track, the DFV internals respond quickly to surface changes, keeping all four tires loaded through corners and stable under the hard braking the RS3 is capable of. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
