Öhlins DFV Dedicated Track Coilovers for 982 Porsche 718 Boxster & Cayman

Öhlins’ DFV Dedicated Track Coilovers for 982 Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman models use kit POU MU40S1, the track setup Öhlins lists for the 718 Boxster, Cayman, S and GTS. Öhlins tunes it to go on the car and straight to the circuit with minimal setup or testing, and with the adjusters at their standard positions the car sits about 20 mm lower than on the factory suspension. The same kit also fits the earlier 981 generation.

Design and Performance

Each damper has one Dual Flow Valve adjuster that moves compression and rebound together, and Öhlins gives a track setting of 9 clicks at the front and 4 at the rear. The factory top mounts come off: Öhlins supplies its own spherical upper mounts at all four corners, and the 110 N/mm front and 130 N/mm rear main springs, built by Swift to Öhlins specifications, sit over helper springs. Ride height is set with a separate height adjuster that moves 1.5 mm per turn.
