Will the Fabspeed Supercup Exhaust System fit my Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 or 3.2?

Yes. The Fabspeed Supercup Exhaust System is built in two applications, one for 1976-1983 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 models and one for 1984-1989 911 Carrera 3.2 models. Select the application that matches your engine at checkout. It replaces the factory muffler on the existing mounting points, so no cutting or welding is needed.

How loud is the Supercup compared to the Muffler Bypass?

Quieter, but not quiet. The Supercup runs a muffler bypass layout with two resonators built into it, which takes the hardest edge off the top end while keeping the CUP car character. The straight Muffler Bypass is the louder of the two by a clear margin. Fabspeed lists the Supercup for track use.

Can I drive it on the street?

Fabspeed recommends the Supercup for track use. It is a catback system, so it changes nothing about the emissions equipment ahead of it, but the sound level is aggressive enough that local noise ordinances are worth checking before you commit. Owners who want a system they can live with daily usually choose the Maxflo instead.

Does it bolt to the factory catalytic converter?

Yes. The Supercup is a direct replacement for the OEM muffler and connects to the factory catalytic converter, or to a Fabspeed Sport Cat installed in the same position. Nothing upstream of that connection point needs to change, which is why the install stays a bolt-on job with no fabrication.

How difficult is the installation?

It is a Level-1 job and Fabspeed lists it as simple DIY bolt-on. The factory muffler unbolts, the Supercup goes in on the same mounting points, and no cutting or welding is required. Most owners finish it in an afternoon with hand tools on a lift or stands, and the stock muffler can go back on just as easily.

What is it made from, and is it warrantied?

It is complete T304L stainless steel throughout, on 14 to 16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent 2.25 inch tubing, finished with a single Deluxe 4.5 inch oval tip. T304L is the low-carbon grade chosen for weld quality and corrosion resistance. Every Fabspeed performance product carries the Fabspeed lifetime warranty.

Description

Fabspeed Supercup Exhaust System for Porsche 911 Carrera

The Fabspeed Supercup Exhaust System for Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 & 3.2 exists for the owner who wants the raw flat-six but would rather not spend every drive shouting over it. Fabspeed designs, engineers, dyno tests and race proves its own work from its Fort Washington, Pennsylvania facility, and the Supercup is what that experience produces when the brief is volume with a little discipline: a muffler bypass architecture with two resonators built into the system, keeping the hard-edged character while trimming the sharpest edges off the top. Complete T304L stainless construction on 14 to 16 gauge, 2.25 inch CNC mandrel-bent tubing feeds a single Deluxe 4.5 inch oval tip, and the whole system takes 8 pounds off the back of the car while bolting to the factory mounting points. Fabspeed recommends it for track use, which tells you most of what you need to know about the noise it makes.

Fabspeed recommends this system for track use, and it is loud enough that most owners will not want it as a daily setup
Volume sits between the straight Fabspeed Muffler Bypass Pipe (FS.POR.911.MB) and the street-oriented Fabspeed Maxflo Performance Exhaust System, so choose by how much noise you actually want to live with
Pairs with the Fabspeed Sport Cat for Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 & 3.2 (FS.POR.911.SC) for a matched high-flow path front to back
For everything Fabspeed builds for this chassis, see the full Fabspeed range for the 911 Carrera 3.0 and 3.2

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.

BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
