NOVITEC NF12 Centerlock-Look Forged Wheel Set for F173M Ferrari 849 Testarossa

From a few feet away, the NOVITEC 849 Testarossa NF12 looks almost like a wire frame, with most of the wheel face open to the brakes. Each of its five spokes splits into a narrow Y just past the hub. The two arms stay thin all the way to the rim, so the wheel has ten points where it meets the barrel. Small pockets machined near the base of each Y lighten the center without taking attention from the long, clean arms. A black centerlock-look cap with a castellated outer ring and red NOVITEC logo sits at the center. It covers the five wheel bolts, and the wheel still mounts conventionally. NOVITEC developed the NF12 with Vossen and forges each wheel as a monoblock in a staggered 20×9.5 front and 21×12 rear fitment.

Forged Construction

Spokes this thin wouldn’t hold up in a cast wheel. A cast wheel needs extra material to make up for the porosity and looser grain left by the casting process. Forging presses the aluminum into a dense, aligned grain structure, so the NF12’s arms can stay narrow and still handle cornering loads, braking forces, and the weight of the 849 Testarossa’s hybrid drivetrain. The thinner spokes also reduce unsprung mass. That lets the suspension follow the road more closely and makes the car feel lighter on its feet through quick direction changes.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
