NOVITEC NF11 Centerlock-Look Forged Wheel Set for F173M Ferrari 849 Testarossa

The NOVITEC 849 Testarossa NF11 is the most heavily sculpted of NOVITEC’s wheels for this car. Each of its five spokes leaves the hub as one thick arm, then splits into a wide V before it reaches the rim. NOVITEC cuts a long slot into each arm of that V, removing material and creating a layered, almost skeletal face where you can see the barrel and brakes through the spokes. At the center, a black centerlock-look cap with a red NOVITEC logo covers the five wheel bolts and makes the hub look like a single-nut race wheel. The wheel still mounts with conventional bolts. NOVITEC developed the NF11 with Vossen, and each wheel is forged as a monoblock in a staggered 20×9.5 front and 21×12 rear setup.

Forged Construction

The slots in the NF11 do more than change the look. Machining pockets into the spoke arms removes aluminum from areas that carry little load, while the edges that carry the stress stay full thickness. That approach only works on forged wheels. Forging compresses the aluminum’s grain structure, so the material that’s left is strong enough to remain thin. On an 849 Testarossa, which carries hybrid hardware in addition to the V8, less weight at each corner means the suspension reacts to the road more quickly. The steering also tells you more about what the front tires are doing.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
