Of all the Exige generations, the S2 is the one owners are most likely to drive every day. Plenty of them see commutes, weekend road trips and a track day or two each season. That mixed use is hard on worn dampers and doesn’t suit a stiff race setup either. The Nitron Exige NTR-R1 FastRoad kit is built for the middle ground. Nitron hand-builds these coilovers with spring rates and valving that give the S2 Exige firm, sporty handling while keeping enough compliance for real pavement. The Nitron Exige NTR-R1 tightens the car’s response to the steering and settles it quickly over mid-corner bumps. It also gives the front splitter and rear spoiler a stable platform, so they work as they should at speed. One adjuster per corner sets bump and rebound together, making it quick to soften the car for the drive in or firm it up for a fast back road. Mounting brackets come with the kit, supplied for your car’s drive side.

Unique Technology

Nitron designed the NTR-R1 alongside its competition dampers, and the Nitron Exige NTR-R1 uses much of the same internal hardware as the NTR-R3 that Nitron races internationally. All of the gas and oil volume is contained within each damper body, so there’s no remote canister to place and the installation stays tidy and self-contained. The dampers run inverted, which moves weight off the hub side of each corner and lets the wheels respond quickly to changes in the road. Seals and bearings are chosen for very low friction, so the Nitron Exige NTR-R1 begins damping at the smallest wheel movement and doesn’t wait for a bigger input. On an S2 Exige, that makes broken city streets more comfortable and keeps the car composed when a fast road dips or crests mid-corner. The damping stays consistent as the oil heats up, whether you’re on a long highway run or a hot track session.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
