This one does not imitate that 1973 Carrera RS profile so much as continue the argument it started, drawn in Berlin for the 992 GT3 Touring, shaped to the car’s own lines, and certified to §19.3 by TUV rather than merely styled. Integrated Ram Air ducts feed the engine bay, the original third brake light stays in service behind a purpose-built frame, and the whole assembly locates on factory mounting points. For the owner who chose the Touring precisely because it says less, this is the one piece of aerodynamic jewelry that says it in the same voice.

Heritage and Design

The Evo III traces the Mighty Ducktail line that made the 2.7 RS instantly recognizable, then resolves it against the modern 992 deck lid. Moshammer’s OEM+ philosophy governs every radius: the spoiler reads as though Weissach drew it, echoing the clean static profile of the 992 Sport Classic while adding presence the standard Touring deck simply cannot.

Aerodynamic Function

Unlike decorative ducktails, the Evo III integrates Ram Air ducts within the spoiler body that channel airflow directly into the engine compartment. The static wing form generates rear-axle stability at speed, and the ducting delivers a genuine motorsport function behind a shape most people will read simply as beautiful.

Construction and Fitment

The ducktail arrives finished in satin black and mounts to the original Porsche fixing points, so no drilling or deck-lid surgery is required. Moshammer supplies the mounting material with the part, and a dedicated frame solution keeps the factory third brake light fully functional and flush within the new profile. A TUV parts certificate (§19.3) accompanies the part.

Does the factory third brake light still work? Yes. Moshammer supplies a frame solution that retains the original third brake light in full working order within the new spoiler profile.
Do I need to drill the deck lid? No. The Evo III uses the original Porsche mounting points and the supplied mounting material.
Will it fit my 992 GT3 with the swan-neck wing? Not as a direct fit. The Evo III is developed for the GT3 Touring deck lid; fitting it to the winged GT3 requires modification.
Is it street legal in Germany? The part carries a TUV parts certificate (§19.3), which is the German type-approval documentation for this style of component.
How long until it ships? Production is currently running 6 to 8 weeks, after which the part ships by air freight from Berlin.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less.
