SOUL Performance’s non-valved X-Pipe for 991.2 Porsche 911 Carrera PSE uses a full 3-inch flow path for maximum flow and sound level, with a bespoke chambered design that delivers a smooth, high-pitched tone under load while minimizing low-RPM drone in everyday driving. Built from thick-wall T304L stainless steel and rigorously quality-checked and fixture-tested in-house, every set arrives with all necessary hardware and is backed by SOUL’s renowned Lifetime Warranty for both street and track use. The result is a rear exhaust that gives the turbocharged flat-six back the voice Porsche’s own PSE never quite delivers, without tipping into drone or excess volume for daily driving.

Development and Testing

The X-Pipe for 991.2 Porsche 911 Carrera PSE was developed because the 991.2 Carrera lineup claimed more performance and efficiency from its turbocharged 3.0-liter engine, but it came at the cost of the distinct character the 911 had been known for; the factory PSE does very little to deliver the dynamic sound quality the turbocharged flat-six is capable of, and the turbos naturally suppress the car’s overall volume. SOUL’s non-valved X-pipe tackles both issues with an increased 3in tubing diameter and a bespoke design that delivers a smooth, high-pitched tone under load, where the factory system’s primary flow path is unrefined without blending of the exhaust; the chambered X-pipe does not restrict flow during blending, maintaining full diameter through the tips for optimal velocity, which delivers strong results whether run with other upgraded components or on its own. Eliminating the secondary flow path from the equation keeps residual flow from bleeding out, preserving more sound volume, and repurposing that secondary path into a lengthy Helmholtz chamber reduces low-RPM drone to reasonable levels, working in concert with the primary X-pipe. Even with upgraded headers or catalysts, as featured on SOUL’s development car, it never reaches a level of aggression unsuitable for street use.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
